Our Programs

Programs Offered

Each week, over 70 riders from across the Lower Mainland participate in our therapeutic riding sessions. These sessions are more than just a ride – they provide life-changing experiences.

Riders gain confidence, improve physical coordination and develop meaningful relationships with our horses, volunteers and each other. Many parents tell us that their child lights up in a way they don’t see anywhere else. For many riders, riding becomes a ‘normalizing’ experience – a place where they feel capable, included and celebrated.

Our riders experience physical, mental, developmental, emotional or social challenges and each therapeutic program is designed to meet their needs. Our riders can choose either private or semi-private sessions.

During the summer months, we offer a Summer Camp program where children have fun and joyful experiences with the horses, from games to painting a horse!

We also offer a ‘Senior Stretch & Strengthen’ program to seniors in our community. It helps improve mobility and balance, increase flexibility, reduce pain and stiffness, enhance cognitive and memory, improve attention and focus, and reduce anxiety and depression. It can also help reduce falls.

As we grow, we can expand our programming and offer different equine-assisted opportunities for people.

For Our Volunteers

Throughout the year, we offer an opportunity for our volunteers to learn how to:

  • Groom and tack up a horse
  • Lead a horse to ensure the safety of the horse
  • Sidewalk with a rider to ensure their safety
