Autism Funding Unit

BC Rehab Foundation – Individual Grant Program

  • Funding for individuals living with physical disabilities, includes equipment and therapy programs

CKNW Kid’s Fund

  • Funding for children under 19 with special needs in BC
  • Funding can be used for therapeutic services (e.g. therapeutic riding), specialized/adaptive equipment, and education (bursaries)

Maple Ridge Lions Club

Variety, the Children’s Charity

  • Financial assistance for children under 19 with special needs, covering a wide range of equipment, therapies, educational, social and recreational programs

Athletics for Kids

  • A privately funded charity assisting B.C. children ages 5 to 18 to participate in amateur sport
  • The child must be enrolled in school
  • Basic registration fees are covered, up to an annual maximum of $600
  • Camps are not covered

Canadian Tire/Jumpstart

  • Dedicated to removing financial barriers preventing children from participating in organized sport

Kidsport British Columbia

  • A community based sport funding program helpingp kids 18 and under participate a sport of their choice
  • Grants to go towards participation/ registration fees, up to a maximum of $300
  • Sport activities must demonstrate a sustained sport experience (e.g. a season)
  • Camps are not covered
